Ban Hyo-jung

Ban Hyo-jung, born Ban Man-hee on November 27, 1942, is a prominent South Korean actress with a career spanning several decades. She was born in Daegu, South Korea, during a time when the region was under Japanese rule, which sometimes leads to her birthplace being recorded as Japan. Ban Hyo-jung made her acting debut in 1964 with a minor role in Shin Sang-ok's film "Rice." The same year, she gained recognition after being accepted as a talent at Seoul Central Broadcasting, now known as KBS.
