Choi Min-sik

Choi Min-sik, born on May 30, 1962, is a prominent South Korean actor celebrated for his powerful and transformative performances. He first captured audience attention with his role in the television series *The Moon of Seoul* in 1994, but it was his breakthrough film, *Shiri* (1999), that solidified his status as a leading actor in the industry. Choi's career-defining moment came with his extraordinary performance in *Oldboy* (2003), which not only received critical acclaim but also earned him numerous accolades, including Best Actor awards at the Baeksang Arts Awards, the Blue Dragon Film Awards, and the Grand Bell Awards. Continuing to build on his success, Choi starred in a series of high-profile films such as *Lady Vengeance* (2005), *I Saw the Devil* (2010), and *The Admiral: Roaring Currents* (2014).
