Lee Ji-eun, commonly known by her stage name IU, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress born on May 16, 1993. She made her television debut in 2011 with the series Dream High and has since gained acclaim for her performances in various South Korean dramas, including The Producers (2015), Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), My Mister (2018), and Hotel Del Luna (2019). IU has also appeared in the Netflix anthology series Persona (2019). Her most recent work includes the 2021 film Dream.
