Kim Sung-ryung

Kim Sung-ryung is a prominent South Korean actress known for her versatility and charm. Born on February 8, 1967, she first gained national attention after winning the Miss Korea beauty pageant in 1988, subsequently representing her country at the Miss Universe 1989 competition. Her career began in the entertainment industry as a reporter on KBS's showbiz news program, Entertainment Weekly, where she honed her skills in front of the camera. Kim made her film debut in 1991 with a notable role in Kang Woo-suk's "Who Saw the Dragon's Claws?" and transitioned to television in the following years, quickly establishing herself as a talented actress. After a brief hiatus from film, she returned to the silver screen in 2007 with acclaimed performances in "Shadows in the Palace" and "Rainbow Eyes." As she matured into her forties, Kim garnered widespread recognition for her roles in popular dramas such as "You're Beautiful," "The Chaser," "Yawang," "The Heirs," and "Flower of Queen," solidifying her status as a beloved figure in the South Korean entertainment landscape.
