Lee Jung-eun

Lee Jung-eun is a talented South Korean actress born on January 23, 1970. She began her acting career on stage in 1991 and gradually transitioned to film, taking on minor roles before gaining recognition for her performances. Over the years, she has appeared in several acclaimed films, including The Attorney (2013), A Violent Prosecutor (2015), and festival hits such as A Girl at My Door (2014) and The Wailing (2016). Lee's career took a significant turn with prominent roles in A Taxi Driver (2017), Miss Baek (2017), and Another Child (2018). She is particularly well-known for her collaboration with renowned director Bong Joon-ho, starting with the 2009 film Mother. Lee's international acclaim peaked with her portrayal of the housekeeper Moon-gwang in Parasite, a film that won four Academy Awards and made history as the first non-English language film to win Best Picture. Her versatile talent continues to captivate audiences both in South Korea and around the world.
