Shin’s journey in the entertainment industry began in her teenage years when she was discovered as a model for the teen magazine KiKi after submitting a photo taken during a school picnic. This early exposure led her to appear in commercials and music videos before making her acting debut in the 2001 movie "Volcano High." Her breakthrough role came in 2005 with the gangster film "A Bittersweet Life," where her portrayal of Hee-soo garnered significant attention and acclaim. Over the years, Shin Min-a has proven her versatility by taking on a diverse range of roles across various genres, from comedy in "My Mighty Princess" to more dramatic performances in films like "Sisters on the Road."
