Yuri Nakamura

Yuri Nakamura, born in Osaka, Japan, in 1982, is a talented actress and singer known for her unique cultural background as a South Korean national of Japanese descent. She began her journey in the entertainment industry in 1998 after successfully auditioning for TV Tokyo's Asayan in 1996. Alongside Izawa Mari, she formed the musical duo YuriMari, which released music for a year before disbanding.

Transitioning to acting in 2003 with the support of Avex Management, Yuri gained recognition for her performances on both television and film. Her notable role in the 2007 film Pacchigi! Love & Peace earned her the Rookie Award at the third Osaka Cinema Festival in 2008. In early 2013, she made a significant career move by transferring to Alpha Agency. In addition to her acting career, Yuri hosted a documentary for NHK titled The World On A Bicycle: Uzbekistan, released in 2014. Passionate about travel, she has also been involved in promoting various corporate products and services throughout her career.
