The areas of Ssangmun-dong, Banghak-dong, and Ui-dong

쌍문동, 방학동, 우이동 일대

Step back in time to the heartwarming world of *Reply 1988* by exploring the neighborhoods of Ssangmun-dong, Banghak-dong, and Ui-dong in Seoul's Dobong-gu district. This area served as the primary backdrop for the beloved drama, faithfully preserving the nostalgic atmosphere of the late 1980s. Fans will instantly recognize the familiar streets and alleyways that were home to the close-knit community of friends and families, making it an essential pilgrimage for anyone wanting to relive the drama's most iconic moments.

While the area offers a charming glimpse into a bygone era, visitors should manage expectations regarding the stream areas. Although once a popular spot for dining with tables directly in the water, many businesses have now occupied the banks, and some upstream sections are fenced off. Reviewers note that the streams can be dry depending on the season, and dining at the remaining establishments can be pricey.

Despite these changes, the overall ambiance of Ui-dong and its surrounding areas remains a lovely place to spend a day. It's ideal for those seeking a tranquil escape with fresh air, perhaps enjoying a hike and a picnic with your own provisions to fully embrace the natural beauty that still defines parts of this historic *Reply 1988* filming location.

There isn't any place for kids to play in/near the stream as businesses have occupied most of the area. Other upstream areas were also not accessible as there were fences. Some of the streams were dry during the end of May or early June. Not recommended to bring kids since there aren't many activities for kids to have fun.

You can get to the valley with stream. and fresh air But it's very regretful you should pay more for foods to sit there. If you go hiking and bring your own food this place is all yours for free.

are The restaurants no longer have tables directly in the stream, which was disappointing, and prices afe very expensive for eating on the ground.. but still a lovely place to spend a day.
