The shallow bay feels like a great place for families. However, as is typical of Gyeongbuk, the access road is very narrow and parking is very limited. There are no lifeguards, so everyone must fend for themselves. Aside from a few guesthouses, there are no amenities.
If you just pass by, you might not realize it's Heart Beach. If you take a drone photo, you'll see a heart shape. Riding the Skyrail, you might think it's called Heart Beach, but it's not worth going out of your way to find.
Although the beach doesn't look like a heart, the water is clean and shallow. It is also a good idea to explore the part of the Haeparang Trail near Jukbyeon Lighthouse and the drama filming location. Once the rail bike opens, there will likely be various ways to view the beautiful sea.
It's quiet and there aren't many people, so the beach is narrow. There are a lot of cars ㅡㅡㅋ It's a filming location for "Into the Storm." The road down to the beach is narrow, and you have to grab a spot from above and walk down. It's beautiful and quiet, but the running water and bathrooms are a bit inconvenient. You can even shower at a private house for 3,000 won, but you just wash off with a cold showerhead. It would be more convenient if you booked a pension, but newly built pensions are quite expensive. Today, I rented a place with a parasol and a wooden table for 50,000 won, and I booked it because I was told I could use the water, shower, and bathroom, but when it was almost 5 o'clock, they kicked me out and told me not to use the water. ㅜㅜ What do you want me to do even though I paid? I was going to boil some ramen, but they kicked me out with a bundle. That's the first time I've seen something like that. I used to live by the beach, and I even ran a business there, but this is the first time I've ever seen something like that. The first place I went down to was rude and yelled at me loudly. They also sell coffee and tea, but they didn't accept credit cards. And there was a line for the bathroom, so I couldn't use it. It seems like they only treat their B&B guests well? But they said that if you turn on the outside faucet, the water won't come out inside. They shouldn't be running a shower business, but they were yelling at people who paid a lot of money. We had a great time, but I almost knocked over a table at the end. It was so bad. I just had to endure it since I wouldn't go back there again. The first house on the beach was a bit... Oh, by the way, they've built a rail bike... It runs right on the beach. The rail bike pillars are taking up space on the tiny beach, and it seems to ruin the beauty and the natural environment. It's a shame. It was such a beautiful beach...ㅜㅜ
