The views here were pretty good, though the price to set foot on the island was a bit high for what the place offers. There are certainly better views in the park, but at least here you can admire the scenery and take pictures without rocking back and forth on a boat
Nice place and an ideal day trip when visiting Tongyeong. We got the boat from the mainland which took about 40 minutes to arrive at Jangsa-do and then it takes about 2 hours to walk around the island. The boat trip alone is worth it because it’s nice to sail into the archipelago. No toilets or cafe on board though. Sights on the island: - Lighthhouse - Viewpoints and some have signs with info on locations of Yi Sun Shins famous battles. - Outdoor concert area - Bonsai tree park - Greenhouse - Many viewpoints over the sea - Cafes - Bridges - small art installations Be aware that you will have to do some walking up a relatively steep hill to begin with when you arrive at the island. Wear comfy shoes! I visited in the winter and it was still fun even though less of the sights were available to see. The tickets were equivalent to about €25 per person for the boat.
We took ferry from Tongyeong and the trip itself was so fun being accompanied by cute seagulls and it's so entertaining as some of the passengers dancing to the music. This island is famous for its camellia flowers that blooming in winter. Was so excited to see so many spring flowers. The fresh air scented so nice because of bushes of rosemary and others flowers. It's also filming location for famous Korean Dramas such as My Love from the Star (별에서 온 그대) and Uncontrollably Fond (함부로 애틋하게). If not because the ferry was leaving, 2 hours definitely not enough to explore this beautiful island. Will revisit for sure~!
Yup, too expensive, ₩57,000 for 2 including ferry and entrance fee, but nice place Don't forget to play with the seagulls during the ferry trip
The cameillia flowers here are so pretty. And the scenery is so beautiful that it's perfect for a walk. And the amenities and toilets were well-equipped. This in one of the places I want to come again.
