Step into the nostalgic charm of Mexican Chicken, a classic Korean fried chicken establishment that served as the backdrop for Hoomin's father's chicken shop in the K-drama *Weak Hero*. This enduring chain, one of Korea's oldest, offers a taste of tradition with its distinctively old-fashioned chicken flavor.
Visitors can savor the signature fried chicken, noted for its peppery seasoning and generous coating of mustard sauce, or opt for the popular half-and-half option to experience both. Reviewers praise the solid quality, reasonable prices, and the generous side dishes, making it a satisfying stop for any K-drama fan or fried chicken enthusiast. The subtle "Mexican chili flair" in the yangnyeom sauce adds a unique twist to this beloved Korean comfort food.

This is one of the oldest chimek chains in Korea. The yangyum does have a bit of Mexican chili flair that is vaguely reminiscent of Mexican food. It was a solid chicken joint. The chicken was good, not insanely pricey and they were generous with the side dishes. Had the half and half.
Not bad. Very kind.
A unique restaurant with a distinctly old-fashioned chicken flavor. The fried chicken, peppery and seasoned, and heavily seasoned with mustard sauce are impressive.
A cozy neighborhood pub atmosphere perfect for casual visits Highly recommend the old-style chicken, which is hard to find these days haha
Friendly. Average taste. Reasonably priced.
