Kim Yoon-ji, better known by her stage name Jung So-min, is a prominent South Korean actress born on March 16, 1989. She made her mark in the entertainment industry with her debut in 2010, landing a supporting role in the television series Bad Guy. That same year, she gained recognition for her first leading role in the romantic comedy Playful Kiss, which, despite low domestic ratings, found popularity overseas. Following her early success, Jung took a brief hiatus in 2011 to focus on her studies at the Korea National University of Arts. She returned to the screen in 2012 with the MBC sitcom Standby and went on to star in various successful projects, including the KBS drama Big Man in 2014 and the JTBC series D-Day in 2015. Her role in the sitcom My Mind's Flower Rain in 2016, alongside Lee Kwang-soo, garnered significant attention, achieving over 100 million views in China. Jung So-min has continued to build her career with leading roles in hit series such as Because This Is My First Life (2017) and Alchemy of Souls (2022). She is also set to appear in upcoming projects like Love Next Door (2024) and Would You Marry Me? (2025), as well as the film Love Reset (2023). With her versatile acting skills and charming screen presence, Jung remains a beloved figure in the South Korean entertainment landscape.
